Tobago's natural beauty and unique culture have helped to shape the character and a number of artwork pieces of Trinidad-born, Tobago-bred artist Nazim Baksh. Nazim moved to Louis Dor, Tobago when he was 6 years old. Living in “country”, as locals fondly call the rural Windward side of the island, has left him with a number of fond memories of life in the village and at Delaford AC Primary School. He has a very vivid recollection of a number of entertaining episodes of an exciting yet very simple life in the countryside. Having excelled at the Common Entrance examinations Nazim was awarded a pass to attend the prestigious Bishop’s High School located in the main town of Scarborough. To ease the burden of travelling the long distance he and his family relocated to urban Tobago. Therefore a variety of experiences spanning over 30 years of residing on the both ends of Tobago have afforded Nazim the opportunity to observe, share in, and depict Tobago’s culture vibrantly thro
